Funding Options started life in 2012 with a simple but powerful idea — what if instead of going to the bank, businesses could search for a loan online just like people do for car insurance or hotels?
Our mission is to help businesses find the finance they need easily, quickly, and securely. We've helped our customers raise millions of pounds of finance, won a host of industry awards, and gained the backing of the government. Funding Options is also one of the fastest-growing fintech companies on the one metric that really matters, revenue.
We want to work with people who think creatively, try new things and are looking to make a real difference. Collaboration is a great way to move the business forward, and in our daily standups you'll regularly hear developers, marketers and account managers sharing ideas.
We're always on the lookout for talented, motivated, intelligent people to join our team. Maybe that's you? Even if you’re not completely confident you fit our exact criteria, please get in touch.
Our team is still small enough that you can make a difference and make a name for yourself. We take company culture very seriously, because life is too short to work with people you don't like!
Our industry-leading customer service team is consistently highly rated by the businesses we help every day — our Trustpilot customer testimonials speak for themselves.
They're an eclectic mix — we have team members with experience from traditional finance, challenger banks and finance brokers, as well as graduates who've learned on the job. What they have in common is a keen sense of what the customer needs, an enthusiastic approach, and a desire to be great at what they do.
Technology and development is at the core of what we do. As well as taking care of the sophisticated and evolving matching application, the development team deliver the tools that the customer service and marketing teams need to do their jobs.
The tech team is a mixture of classically trained and self-taught, and that's the way we like it. Their approach to volatile requirements draws from DDD, agile and scrum methodology on a base of Python 3, Django and git — a tasty recipe that simply allows them to Get Sh*t Done.
They work on anything from the CRM system and partner APIs to mobile optimisation and user experience — they've even taught one of our marketers command line git.
In a crowded market, effective communications become even more important, so the marketing team work across a variety of channels in paid, earned and owned. Reactive, insight-driven and multidisciplinary, they work on PPC, SEO, PR and DM. When they run out of acronyms, they also keep themselves busy with customer acquisition, email marketing, web content and customer communications.
Like the rest of Funding Options, the marketing team is hard to sum up, but they certainly share a weird sense of humour and a diverse range of extracurricular activities.
There's always a lot going on at a fast-growing company, and our operations team make sure we're efficient and effective even on our busiest days. They have a positive effect on every area of the business, from improving the way we use systems and software to making sure we're always compliant with FCA regulations.
But perhaps most importantly of all, they make sure there's enough laptops, phones and caffeinated beverages to go around, so the whole company can focus on getting sh*t done.
As well as our experienced staff with specific finance, technology, or marketing backgrounds, we have a history of hiring recent graduates who learn on the job.
We're a young company, and if you're looking for your first role or a paid internship and think you're right for us, get in touch. In the last few months we've hired grads as well as current students on placement — everybody's different, and maybe you're exactly what we're missing.
Behind the scenes
“Working at a startup means things move very quickly and it can be quite a challenge keeping up at times, so you’d better be ready to get stuck in. Everyone here is always willing to help in areas that maybe aren’t even in their job description — but that’s part of the fun!”— Mital, Sales Operations Manager Read more
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a grad or not. A lot of what I do was self-taught, or picked up along the way from mentors and peers. The most important attribute to have is passion — show you're willing to learn, adapt, and don’t be afraid to show off your skills and experiment a little!”— Anthony, Software Developer Read more
