We’re really pleased to announce that ING Ventures, the fintech venture capital arm of the Netherlands-based global bank, has taken a £5m minority equity stake in Funding Options. This follows the recent announcement that we're partnering with ING in the Netherlands to help Dutch businesses find the right finance for their situation.
The investment will mean we can continue on our rapid growth trajectory to expand the team. We want to keep hiring the right people we need to improve our service in the UK, the Netherlands, and a few other places in Europe — find out more on our Careers page.
Most importantly, this investment will mean we can help more UK businesses than ever to walk tall, by getting them the right funding for their situation from the best lenders in the market.
Conrad Ford, Founder and CEO of Funding Options, says:
“Working with banks is a key part of our vision, because banks are the first port of call for most small firms seeking finance. Sometimes these small businesses aren't suitable for traditional bank lending. With Funding Options, instead of giving these customers a ‘no’, banks can offer them an ‘alternative yes’.”
“We're excited and delighted to gain ING's backing to expand internationally.”
